MEDHA IMAM

Medha Imam is a multimedia journalist, video producer and host based in New York City. She currently works at theSkimm, producing explainers and interviewing high-profile talent like actress & comedian Tiffany Haddish and Marvel’s newest superhero Iman Vellani. She previously served as a host and producer at Insider, highlighting restaurants and businesses across New York and Chicago. She graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and received bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science. She served as a Pulliam Fellow at The Arizona Republic, part of USA Today and Gannett Co., and specialized in video production.

During undergrad, Medha was involved with two school publications as the Editor-in-Chief of Al Bayan Magazine and the Print Managing Editor of North by Northwestern Magazine. Besides magazine editing, Medha served as a broadcast reporter for Northwestern News Network as well as an online news and video editor for North by Northwestern. She spent a quarter reporting on the business and technology beat on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for the Medill News Service, covering stories ranging from the Supreme Court case EEOC v. Abercrombie & Fitch to gender parity in federal IT. She completed her journalism residency as a video journalist at eNCA News Channel Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her pieces have been published in theSkimm, Insider, Business Insider, USA TODAY, U.S. News & World Report, eNCA.com, UPI.com, Buzzfeed, and Hinsdale Magazine.
